Left and right show 24-hour market-wide price change in USD, or relative return against Bitcoin. Up and down show last-hour gross trading divided by the preceding five hours averaged per hour. The axes describe different windows; their relationship does not prove a cause, a healthy rally or future returns.

Activity uses the same selected markets in both periods. On-chain USD and exchange USDT are never added together. The ratio compares a coin with its own recent activity, not the size or quality of trading across coins. At least 10,000 source units per baseline hour are required. Missing, incomplete, stale or tiny samples stay outside the plot. Source changes can move a coin’s position; no change trail is inferred.

The vertical axis uses a logarithmic scale with equally spaced doubling steps. A measured zero has its own labeled row. Labels may shift for readability; their square and connector mark the exact position. All coin links open profiles. On phones the same measurements appear as compact visual rows, with separate preview buttons. Hover and keyboard-focus previews show the 24-hour price change and a last-hour comparison with the preceding five-hour hourly average. Highlights use the existing pace thresholds (at least 1.5× or at most two-thirds) or a buying-share change of at least 10 percentage points with at least 10,000 current source units. Otherwise the preview says no standout shift. These describe observed changes; they do not explain price causation.

The collector targets updates every 15 minutes. Data can be delayed; prices and activity must be fresh within 30 minutes for plotting. Against-Bitcoin comparisons require quote timestamps within five minutes. Temperature uses its own declared sample; its coverage can differ from this map.

The ten alts follow market-cap rankings, excluding BTC, stablecoins and known wrapped/staked/bridged duplicates. Tokenized assets remain eligible. New coins receive prices automatically; activity still requires a reviewed identity mapping. Coverage is a sample, not the share of global trading captured.
